Default The Daily- Totally- Pointless- Diversionary Question from HB

    Ok, 1st question:

In the movie Demolition Man; Lenina Huxley states Taco Bell was the only restaurant to survive the Franchise Wars. Now all restaurants are Taco Bell.

Question: If there was ever a "franchise war"--- which restaurant chain do YOU believe would win-- and why?

And someone teach me how to make a poll please-- or help me out here with one?

Why, you have it all wrong!
It would have to be Subway!

    After all, they have Jarrod!

McDonalds would put up a huge fight, but the porn king Jared would kill him in a bloody battle, making Subway the victor.

    Question for Sunday 7/27/08

What % of the earth's surface is now Paved or Blacktopped over?

Do you think that paving more and more of the Planet's surface-contributes to "global warming"?

2nd part: If your Ox is stuck in a ditch on Sunday-- do you work to pull him
    out?

Back in the 50's it was a big occasion for our Mom & Dad to take my sisters and I into Traverse City to the Big Boy. Burger and a RootBeer float was my favorite, and a strawberry pie. Huge strawberries and topped with whipped cream. We still have a Big Boy in Traverse City.

In the movie Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, Dr. Evil and his cat Mr. Bigglesworth make their escape in a cryogenic rocket that is the shape of a statue of Big Boy.

I have an original (plastic) stainglass Big Boy lampshade from our first Big Boy restaurant in T.C. in my den. I'm holding off selling it on eBay, to use the money to retire on.

Apparently not enough of it is paved over - especially in the northeast. Just look at all the bumper to bumper traffic.

As far as the "global warming" - ummm - what caused all the ice ages/meltdowns before humans? I say we blame it on the cockroaches - they've been around longer than us and they're an easy target.

You’ve come to know and love him as Jared Fogle, the guy who lost over 200 pounds by eating nothing but Subway sandwiches alone. As a result, he went from being just plain ol’ “Jared” to the much more exciting “Jared Fogle, the Subway Guy.”

Well, it turns out in college, the All-American Jared was known for something entirely different. According to our source, while studying at Indiana University, Fogle ran a very successful pornography rental company out of his bedroom. His porn collection was vast and extensive, and Fogle took his business pretty seriously. A video would run a patron a dollar a day (cheap!), and people would come from all over to take advantage of the deal. Needless to say, Jared had enough porn to keep his customers happy.

Of course, Jared denies that it was a business....

The sandwich shiller called in to Z99.5's Smiley Morning Show in his hometown of Indianapolis this morning to refute Best Week Ever's claims that he ran a porn rental palace while attending college.

The former fatty told radio host Dave Smiley that it's true he had a mighty porn collection in college, but "I definitely didn't have it as a business, and I definitely didn't rent to anybody." Instead, says Jared, he would lend his tawdry tapes for free. "Looking back now, I probably should have [charged], I could have paid for my Subway sandwiches."

Don't really know...but I bet it is a trend that California set.

Do you think that paving more and more of the Planet's surface-contributes to "global warming"?
Yes...and mostly California's problem. We need more trees and vegetation. They wish to burn everything....and they call themselves green environmentalist.

2nd part: If your Ox is stuck in a ditch on Sunday-- do you work to pull him out?
Yes...a genuine emergency is always considered the higher good.
You can't clearly justify anything as an emergency, so you need to use good judgment. Does man have the authority to decide for himself...and more importantly...are you certain the day you are calling Sabbath, is truely the Sabbath Day according to God's time line...and not the deceptive time line Satan has created?

Not enough, traffic still sucks and we are still having forest fires.

I do not believe that anything that mankind does is going to impact the planet as a whole. Global Warming is a farce and has been from day one.

Does it bother anybody that you can walk from one ocean to another ocean on this continent without ever touching the grass? 8)

Hey Hog, we used to go to Big Boy all the time back when I was a kid. I always had the Brawny Lad, fries, and a Coke. And yes, we finished it with one of those big pieces of Strawberry Pie.

    Man, those were the days.
