Default I just discovered the "Album" feature...

I've learned a lot, here, and come to look forward to reading many of your thoughts. It would be nice to affix a face to a name...
When I'm "out there", I'm never sure whether or not it's okay to smile or speak to my fellow drivers---everyone seems so closed off. It would be nice to see some "faces" on here...
Then, too, my hillbilly upbringing may be showing!
Here's hoping to finally get to "see" some of you!

It never hurts to smile or say "hello." Some drivers are friendly, others may not be so much.

That is true G-man, however woman drivers out there alone have to be more careful and exercise a whole lot more discretion. Just sayin'

I understand that women must be a bit more careful, RebelDarlin. I think women can be friendly without being overt. I think there is a fine line between being flirtatious and friendly. I feel that women can control a situation by the way they handle things. If a woman dresses provocatively and is friendly, then she may get some unwanted attention. If she dresses conservatively and is friendly, she is more likely to be treated with respect when talking to other male drivers.

Which is true if everyone out there was like you, unfortunately they aren't. I wear a uniform, not provocative or even flattering. I am far from a flirt, off duty or on. But I have learned there are too many men out there that take a simple smile the wrong way. Things, around here anyway, are not how they used to be. Just sayin' be careful.

Or maybe I just attract crazy people.

I don't smile alot and people look at me and think "A-HOLE!!!!!!!", but many times people are like "man when I first saw you I thought A-HOLE!!!!!, but now that I know you....completely different opinion." So you can't judge a book by its cover....wel not always anyway.....if I see a book with trains on the cover....pretty much going to believe its about trains.

    Default Let me rephrase that...

Thanks for the responses, drivers. What I was really hoping to find out was whether or not people on HERE would be open to posting pictures of themselves, their trucks, etc., so I could "see" the faces of the people who've taught me so much!
It was cool to "see" Kahlana (sp?) and Warhorse (and beautiful friend!)---sort of like "knowing" new friends, on here.
I wouldn't mind, though, if Twilight Flyer just kept his avatar up. No offense, friend, but that picture reminds me of wonderful old days!

Just wondering if others have ever read an incredible post and wanted to "see" the person who'd written it, or who'd given advice that really helped!
    Any thoughts?

Ive seen the Album feature....poked around in it a couple times, but never put any pictures in it. So I put one in, as well. Looks like they go into an approval "phase" before they are actually posted, though.

I could probably dig up a photo to add, but it might ruin your screen, or worse, your eyes. :P

I don't care about my eyes! I look forward to meeting you all, "face-to-face!" 8)
I guess it's just that so many on here have been such a blessing to me that I'd like to "see" them...since it's not possible to meet in person. There again, my hillbilly is showing!

I have learned you need to take a photo showing yourself with a
hott squatter, or a lot of meat...either way
...people won't focus on you so much.

Default What a glorious piece of meat!

    Oh yeah...it's on! 8)
Roadhog---you're a stud!! Is that an elk? A reindeer? I'm not a hunter, but that's an incredible rack that thing has! Did you get it mounted?
It's great to finally "see" you!
    I hope this catches on...what a blast!

That's an elk, but the only elk population I know of near I-75 is in Kentucky.

    Default Oooops...

    Hey, Warhorse...
I finally caught what you were saying...D'oh! (other type of plumbing)
I thought they (elk) were found more toward the northern part of the country. Like I said, though, I wouldn't know...I get my meat from the store!
I'd HATE to run across one of THOSE on the road!

    Jewels...
Been a long day today....and a trailer tire went alligator on me.

Thank you, and yes that is an Elk. A Michigan Elk by the way. We have an impressive herd now, but hunting is limited by lottery drawing. There are plenty of private hunts available too.

I've never mounted anything...except some of the local female Sasquatch....but that takes switching from Beer to Tequila.

I also hunt and fish in Canada, as I live just a hundred miles from the border. I'm planning a trip up in Northern Ontario again this year. (I'll fish for Pike)

You will see lots of Moose and Bear and some Wolves just north of here. We have American Bald Eagles, and the Aurora Borealis. When I was a kid, it was my job to chase the Bear away, when they came into our yard at night. We are getting more Bear back now. I saw one just a couple weeks ago, not far from my house. I get Whitetails in my yard at night. They lay down in a field behind my house.

I've been a hunter/fisherman all my life, and have provided for family, friends and local elderly. I smoke the salmon I catch, and that is everyones favorite. I still use an old refrigerator for a smoker. I thought by now, I would have built that new stone smoker I planned years ago.

I never had salmon before, I prefer catfish and deer meat. Next time you have one of them I'll be on the first plane heading that way!

Yeah... ESPECIALLY if you can't "photoshop" it first to LIGHTEN up the picture enough for us to see anything more than that bright tape on your vest!

I've seen several pictures of you now, Hoggie..... and I STILL don't know what you look like!

Of course..... that could be a blessing!
