In one of the ads for pam transport, the guy says in a year and a half he has gone from never driving a truck to being a trainer. no wonder there are so many incompetent new drivers on the road.

What they did not tell you is that he has probably been a training for 16 months.

It took me a full two years of being solo before I felt even remotely comfortable enough to have even considered training.

Granted in 6 months I felt competent enough to get through most situations, but far from being able to teach.
Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.

I saw the same thing in construction.
If a guy could hammer a nail and build a fence...he'd consider himself a carpenter.

Trainers are key to bad wages,,without them companies would have to pay drivers better.
CPM is a pay scam that most trucking company's use to get around paying overtime for excessive hours of work and other monitory issues.Get paid hourly and prevent sweat shop conditions.
