    Default 5 hour energy

    Do they really work?
I know the redbull/monster/rockstar and all that junk has NO offect on me, but I'm thinking about carrying a few 5 hour energy things with me just incase I'd need a boost for the last couple hours of my run. Getting used to sleeping in the day is kinda rough!
Please, spare the lectures. I'm not doing herion. Just wondering if these things work.

Yeah the 5 hour energy does work. The good thing about that is there is no hard crash. I took it on the day I had ACT testing and was surprised myself how well it performed. Just my 2 cents.

They do work for most people. BUT It is better to get a good Multi vitamin and to exercise cardio for 30 minutes a day. That will increase your energy levels, reduce your stress levels and help make you a healthy person over all.

Before you hoot about not having time for a 30 min work out.. how much time do you spend sitting watching tv in your bunk or at the counter sipping coffee? If you try you can find that 30 minutes to take a brisk walk.

I don't know how much time he spends drinking coffee but last time I checked, that daycab in his Avatar doesn't have a bunk.
Now, your theory on 30 minutes of excurse is right. I get WAY more then that a day unloading my stops and I have plenty of energy(just ask my wife  )

I tried it exactly once. Can't say I noticed any difference.

For me... A 20 oz. cup of coffee, and 5 teaspoons of ENGLISH TOFFEE CAPPUCCINO at the start of the run, and I'm still wide awake at the end. Then, I spend, maybe, an extra 10 minutes getting to sleep. Don't do it often, though. Not even once a week. Staying awake when you're tired is not the best for you in the long run. If you're tired, it means your body has not replenished it's natural energy, which is why you need the sleep in the first place. Get used to the normal, natural form instead Getting "hooked" on artificial energy will hurt your stamina in the long run.

There's also a form of "meditation" that makes you feel as though you have had a good 10 hours of sleep, but do not use it more than once a week, if that for the same reason.

The verdict is in. I needed it tonight as I was very tired and didnt think there was any way I'd make it 3 more hours without stopping for a power nap, so I busted one out of my cooler and it seemed to work almost instantly. I'm still wide awake. Now I never got to the point of my fingers tingeling of bouncin off the walls, but it did keep me wide awake.

It took me months to adjust to sleeping during the daytime. One thing that helped is making my bedroom as dark as possible. Good shades/curtains and paint the walls a darker shade. It's going to take a while to get used to. I would rather take something to help me sleep during the day then something to help me stay up at night. You have to get your sleep, its the only real answer.

5hr energy is nothing more than some vitamins ,and caffeine ...the ads try to market is something totaly different than moutin dew an other energy drinks ,and even try to make it sound like guarana is something bad that's in other drinks but guaranna is just an herb that contains caffeine ,which 5hr energy cntains just as much caffeine as a dew...
