Default Looking to help a fellow trucker!

Almost a year ago a fellow trucker was hurt on the job. He has not worked since due to his injuries, he has went through 2 procedures already and is facing a third one next week. His name is Rod Hall and he is a great driver and person. He has helped me with money from his own pocket to keep me running when I was a little short for repairs, and I am not the only one he has done this for. Rod is one of the safest drivers I have met with no violations of any kind and still delivers on time. He has given alot when needed and now it is time to help him. He has been taking money out of his retirement and savings to keep going. If we could donate a little to him I now he would be very touched and appreciate it greatly because he would never ask for it. 1, 5, 10, whatever we as individuals can afford would be an enormous lift to him and his family. The address I am going to list is his and all money would go directly to him no middle man involved to skim anything. Thank you from me to anyone who helps out this tremendous individual in his time of need.

He knows nothing about this post, and his injuries were caused by trying to fix another drivers mistake with a trailer!

I trust you have some news story you can link to, or some way that we can verify this to be more than a simple scam?

While I can certainly understand the skepticsm, I would also point out that posting this guy's address on a messageboard without his knowledge, probably isn't the smartest thing in the world to do.

I agree. I think it would be much better if people received that information privately. If it were my address I would be a bit upset.

I spent the day at his house with him and his wife trying to get him to agree to a fund raiser or donations for him. He turned down all offers even after other drivers that worked with him talked to him. He said other people need it more than him and they should get the help. If he ever needed it he said he would let me know and supply me with verifyable info for people. Right now he said he still has money to use and that is his preference. That is the kind of person he is and I am going to respect his wishes by informing you he is not interested right now in any type of fund raising. Thanks for reading the post!
