    Default Quit being an idiot!!!

This is something that bugs the hell out of me and I had it happen about 8 times today on a 630 mile drive (and it was always a truck that did it):

I'm on the interstate and approaching an on-ramp. On this on-ramp and getting ready to merge with traffic on the interstate is a truck. I'm driving in the right lane, no one is in the lane beside me, so I move over to let them in. Then, after they get on the interstate, they proceed to drive at the EXACT same speed as me right beside me. Now I've got traffic tied up behind me because I can only go so fast. The guy I let on does nothing but hold the same speed. So, the only way I can get out of the hammer lane now is to slow down, let the IDIOT pass me, then get in behind them.

Come on people - if someone moves over to let you merge, the least you can do is back off enough for them to get out of the hammer lane.

In other words: Quit being a douchbag...

Welcome to the Brave New World-- were all trucks are Governed at the EXACT same speed, and every driver has the exact same 14 hour clock-- which they all choose to start usually between 7am-10am--just like the other 90%-- and are "douch bags" like you say-- and once they get up to that max fuel consumption company imposed limit--- they won't back out of it -- even for a second-- to reward a professional safety minded- courteous fellow like yourself.

But thank U for moving over for him....

It's just courteous to slow down and let the other guy pass you so he can swing back into the granny lane.

Oh wait...this is the 21st century. Being courteous is optional at best.

Or the guy passing you going 1mph faster.

How about the idiot I encountered last night in a str8 truck. Starts passing me, then going the speed next to me. I'm on I80 with the cruise on. He puts his right turn signal on, but hes smack dab next to me and I already started pasing him on the right (keep in mind cruise control-flat ground). He slams on the brakes then goes to the ramp on my right. Some postal carrier contractor.

    Here is his sign!

Then there's when you back out of it to get back in the right lane behind him and because you slow down a bit all the cars behind you move in the right lane to go by and now you can't move over. Blinkers are apparently invisible so I just get back on it and sit in the left lane until I happen to get past him or there's room to get back in the right lane 8) 8)

No no no - those blinkers aren't to let others know where you're going, it's to let them know that's the spot that they're supposed to be in.

So, confuse them... Put on the 4-ways and make them think they are supposed to be in two places at once.

I think it would cause most people on the roads head nowadays to simply implode.

You guys are hilarious, now I finally figured out the blinker thing after all these years. And I thought I was the only one these things happened to.

You dont have to worry about me coming down an onramp and matching your speed, it takes my neutered bull dog about a mile before I even hit 60.
