Reb ~ sorry I couldn't bring up the page ... but I too live in Tornado Alley .... as a matter of fact Thrusday night around midnight, my daughter, youngest grandson and I were standing in the middle of the street in front of my home watching 1 funnel form about 4 miles away from us .... at that point in time we gathered all 3 boys and spent time in the tub ... the tub seems to be the last thing standing once one of those things roll through. .....To us it's just another every day things that happens here in Oklahoma .... I take it your ok ? ... did you recieve any damage ? .... ... After it rolled through we found out that 5 funnels had been spotted in our city here .... Were fine - no damage - just a few more tree limbs down.

There's some stuf blown around, but no real damage to me except I had to be OFFLINE for a few hours.

I 57 was closed due to overturned semis. This article just says one, but if you're at all familiar with the Monee exit there is a Petro and a Pilot there so I assume there were alot of trucks trying to get off the road there.

And, you can forget the PILOT. That would have been filled up within the first five minutes. "FUEL STOP" and little more. Now, the Petro, on the other hand, could have done the guys and gals some good.

I got to get a good look at a funnel cloud near Fredricksberg, VA last week, and the weather alert radio was going off about every two minutes until I got out of VA. This week, I'm headed for NE. Wish me luck. I know I'm going BEHIND the system you're talking about, but I have faith... There'll be another one along soon enough.

For that matter, I've been parked in IA at a truck stop, and when the whistles blew, we were told to stay away from the windows in the restaurant. When I got back out to the truck, parked between to oversized loads of tires for heavy construction equipment, I found that my trailer had been doing the "TWO-STEP". I had tire marks on both sides of my trailer that matched the pattern of the tires on either side.

Have you been there since they put in the additional lot across the street?

I also live in Tornado Alley, I'm a few hours from Reb. All we got was rain along with thunder and lightening. We did get threats to tornadoes and there was supposely a couple that touched down near St. Louis.

Windwalker, I live 15 miles west of Fredericksburg, Va and we got beat around pretty good Wednesday night. Weather confirmed 1 tornado just north of the river there but only an EF-0. We had a funnel cloud pass over my house and I got a number of trees down from microbursts. The area of that tornado was the same area that was hit a few weeks ago by an EF-2 here. That funnel cloud passing over is the closest I have been to a tornado and the closest I hope to ever be again. The hail was outrageous as it started swirling around. The updrafts were so bad that the hail was coming under my porch and then going up and hitting the roof from the underside.

Lately it seems just about anywhere can be deemed tornado alley, they even had one spotted in the Los Angeles area recently. We reside in Tennessee and this area has just been labeled the "New Killer Tornado Alley" area. Makes one sleep with one eye open all night that is for sure!

I am a Chicago suburb inhabitant when home. I've seen my share of those bad boys before  I also used to live down in Southern Illinois and saw some nasty storms too.

Stopped in Lake Station to fuel yesterday afternoon...was going to stay the night their. Decided to head to Morris TA "R" place instead. Got out of the line of fire of the Tornados. Watched it happening on the news. Still got pretty ugly even in Morris.
Hope everybody that was in the line of fire is OK.
