Default ? For you Knight "Riders"....

I notice various colors for the Knight company tractors. What is the significance of the colors. Ive noticed Red...Dark Red or Purple, and Charcoal, and just noticed an all White. So whats the deal with the colors.

Originally the Red was basic dry van and the gray/charcoal was reefer division but that has since gotten so turned around that there really is not any significance to the colors any more. Other than those two colors, the other ones are most likely hold overs from companies that Knight has bought out in the past few years unless they were O/O's. Some O/O's have the exact same lettering style as the company trucks except for a rather tiny "Leased to" decal.
Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.

Thanks...I was just curious, figured it was a division thing, and I understand how they can get "lost" in the shuffle after while.
Funny thing...never saw a "white" Knight till I was posting this thread, and I looked out the window and a BT all white Knight with Black letters "Knight" on the door, go by in the warehouse next door. P/up an older white Knight trailer and left. (Im sitting at a grocery warehouse in Allentown PA)
The charcoal color looks real good on the Pete 379s they have.

The different color reds really don't mean any thing. generally tho, the Pete's will be different then the Volvo's
The charcoal gray Pete's are from the Refer Division.
Any other colors are going to be O/O's
