    Default Remember Knight Rider?

Remember that awesome indestructible car from the TV series, Knight Rider? Apparently, there is a product on the civilian market that can mimic the Molecular Bonded Shell that KITT wore. The US government is having helicopters sprayed in it.

It's kind of like that episode of "Smash Lab" on the Discovery Channel, where they reinforced a 2X4 with carbon fiber, and then had 5 people stand on it, and it didn't even bend.

i had the bed of my f150 done with it 10 years ago and it still looks great. no fading, scratches, dings......nothing. it was @ $350 to do a 6' stepside, but it's been worth it.

i wonder how much it would cost to do a whole humvee? :?:

That test with the office walls is BS. The wall that came down after the blast was not even concreted together.

Probably, but that test with the cinderblock kinda nullifies that.

Speaking of that show, I thought they were bringing it back? I saw a premier of it, and then never heard anything after that; did it not go over well or ????

It wasn't very well produced. I watched a few episodes, and they just dragged on and on and on.

I would rather have Airwolf or Blue Thunder over Knight Rider.

there were so many problems with "smash lab" that I hope it never returns to the air.

They built many structures to "Test" their ideas, however, the structures weren't built to code, or even close. How can you perform a "real world" test on something that's not "Real world"?

They ran into that over and over. Even the "aerated concrete bed" idea was terrible at best - they called their experiment a "success" even tho it was a complete failure.

I could go on and on, but rather than distracting from the orignial subject ..

that line-x stuff is SO strong that in the auto racing circuit, if you've got your trans tunnel sprayed with that stuff, you don't need a transmission scatter shield.

The whole time I was watching the Aerated episode of Smash Lab, I just kept thinking to myself - what's wrong with a thick bed of river rock gravel or sand?

I think they should bring back "The Incredible HULK."
Only this time, have him employed as an OTR Icebox hauler.
I often fantasized about gettin' all HULK, at those Grocery Warehouses, in Chicago traffic, or at some Pilot TS's.

can't believe you'd put Airwolf together with Blue Thunder in the same sentence....

Airwolf would blow Blue Thunder away in a nano-second...

Firefox-- there would be a good new TV series....only downside is the "thinking in Russian"

The REAL TRUTH behind Smash Lab:

Smash Lab is a knock off from Mythbusters, which Smash Lab did not get past 6 episodes before being yanked off the air.

Mythbusters on the other hand are still on the air to this day and is MORE POPULAR than Smash Lab.

Not to mention that the new KITT looks like some idiot kid's ricer car.

I liked Knight Rider and all, but my favourite show of the era was Airwolf.
