Here's another one. It's a montage video , with two of my favorite things, trucks and AC/DC.

That is the famous hill race in Qubeuc where the prize for breaking your driveline is to be towed down the hill to JEERS from the crowd. The grade is something like 15-20% and the trailers they pull up it are FULLY loaded. In order to race in the trailer calss you must put at least 800-900 to the ground and also run an engine that was avaible as a stock option to drivers all over the world. So thngs such as the3412 Cat or a V-12 Cummins are OUT however V-12 Detroit are allowed as long as they are the old 71 and 92 series. Now you can run the 3408 and the 903 Cummions plus Propane and anything else you can throw at it just as long as it will live. Called have a blast and forget about fuel mileage for one weekend.

IIRC it is in July sometime. I had a boss wanted to enter one truck I drove at one point that he had rebulit by Bruce of Diesel Performance. 444 Big Cam 4 Cummins that by the time he was done with it was sitting at 720 to the GROUND at least on the dyno we used befor it broke. Damn CAT dynos anything over 700 HP and they break. I saw Transport Magazine was a sponsor on some of the trailers there Google them and see if they have any info.

I am equally impressed with the drivers as i am with the trucks, fully loaded, accelerating like that with that kind of power its impressive to me they are running cleanly through the gears without blowing drivetrain parts through the pavement.

Thing is also IIRC you can not beef up anything on the Rear Ends Clutch or Tranny they all have to be Stock units now you can have pump driven cooler for the trans but that is it. Lets see SWIFT Mentor and his trainee manage to get up the hill with the power these people are putting down without putting a driveline on the ground.
