If that is Led Zeppelin, I need to get a CAT SCAN.:P
The Mighty Led Zep did do a concert the other night, somewhere over there across the sea. First time Zeppelin got together since, Bonzo's death. Not sure if they are going to actually go on tour.

Led Zeppelin is one of the greatest bands but Robert Plant just doesn't have it any more.
Didn't fool me for a second.
I've been on top of this Ertegun Tribute at London's The O2
since the first news of it, and how it was postponed from it's Nov. 26th date a couple weeks, because Jimmy broke his fret hand little finger.

I have been a devoted fan of this Band since 1969. I'll never forget driving around in my red '64 Chevy Impala S/S with all my friends and listening to an 8-track tape of them. They gave having a great stereo a whole new meaning with "Whole Lotta Love."

Being a guitarist since '65, this Band also was one of my early influences. Like millions of other guitarists, we still honor this Band with our Covers. I've never seen this Band "live", but if I get the chance, I don't care how much the tickets cost, or what I have to do to get there....as long as they come to the States...![]()

I do have The Song Remains the Same DVD, and their newer one.
I wonder if they will have a DVD from this newest concert.

There will be clips being posted soon enough though.
The band broke up after drummer John Bonham died. (1980)
I have the complete studio recordings, and most every song they ever recorded.
Also have every song in guitar tab and every song on Guitar Pro software.![]()
I've been strumming their tunes since I can remember. I love the old classics....thats what these two axes are for.

Those Les Pauls are heavy though. Throws my old (55) back out. Jimmy's 63 years old... :P ...betcha he's thinking the same way now too!![]()
Robert is 59. Hey...John's son Jason 41, is their drummer now. Cool huh. 8)

I got turned on to this clip.
It's proof tone is all in the fingers.
For those guys that wonder if they owned an expensive guitar,
if that would make them sound better.
A good guitarist can play a cheap guitar and make it sound great.
Here is Joe Satriani playing a crappy guitar through a Digitech RP200,
plugged into a little Peavey solid state amp.
He was limited, because the guitar had no floating bridge, and harmonics
sucked. I liked his comment at the end. "Ahhh that was a little painful on this."
(high action) hehehe...we've all been THERE. hahaha

On the topic of aging Rockers.
Another great band... Scorpions returns to their "signature" sound in
their new release, "Humanity Hour 1."

They have been on my top 10 list for several decades, and this
album is right in the pocket. 50+ year old rockers rule!![]()
