    Default 1/2 azz paving crew

So today i was haulin hot rock (blacktop) to a small paving crew paving a church parking lot. A sub contractor that does all of my bosses paving work.

I get back with my 2nd load around 10:00am. Next thing i know i see the roller guy drinking a budweiser. I was like WTF. Right out in the open like it was a soda or something. Then the labors were drinking. I was thinkin to my self its only a matter of time intill someone gets hurt out here. I stayed in the truck and didnt say nothing. By the end of the day they where all boozsed up. Got in the companys pickups and rode off.

There is some dumb people out there.

It is up to you, but you might want to mention this to your boss. If something happens on the job site it is possible that he could be held at least partially responsible since he contracted the job out.

There seems to be a lot of stupid going around. My husband had suspected a couple of co-workers of drinking on the job Thankgiving day. His director and technical director, both female, came back from dinner break very happy and giddy. They also returned from dinner at 9:30pm for a 10pm show. My husband asked them what made them so happy after dinner and they just looked at him. I think he also smelled alcohol, just very faintly. So, they drank at dinner and then drove back to work. Of course, it being a holiday, there was no management around.

I understand it was a holiday and the rules were kind relaxed, but you can't cross the line. You risk losing your livelyhood. Then when they fire you, you can't under stand why.

It is your call, but at the very least you might want to think about calling the cops and reporting a drunk driver next time you catch them drinking and then driving.
