    FAST trucker caught at Calexico
U.S. border officers on Monday made a large seizure and arrest at the Calexico, Calif., port of entry involving a trucker registered in the Free and Secure Trade program and eligible for expedited clearance, Customs and Border Protection announced.
The 25-year-old Mexican driver was waiting in line for the primary booth when a canine detection team alerted officers that drugs were present. His manifest declared the cargo in the tractor-trailer as flat screen TVs, but a gamma ray inspection led to the discovery of 8.85 tons of marijuana hidden among the legitimate cargo. CBP valued the drugs at $67.3 million.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement is investigating the case.
FAST requires carriers, drivers, importers and southern border manufacturers to submit an application, agreement and security profile. Shippers must belong to the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism in order for their trucking providers to receive expedited processing at the border crossing.
About half of the 416 companies that have been suspended or removed from the voluntary trade security program in the past four years are Mexican highway carriers, according to the C-TPAT program manager.

No, those being called crazy where the ones who thought/think that this would make any difference in the flow of drugs to the happy CUSTOMERS here in the states that DEMAND to take illegal drugs.. OR that this means that the Mexican drivers are any more or less apt to deliver the DEMANDED drugs over some "american" driver. More ado about nothing.

    It isn't that simple.

The flow will continue and use will continue...as long as those ungodly profits are there.

You'd be surprised at some of the folks in THIS country making money as "silent" partners.

That a LOT of important hands in that pie.

Been that way for many, many years.

You are absolutely correct. There are many important hands in the pie. American banks have BILLIONS of dollars in illegal drug money in their institutions. Millions is transferred to overseas accounts on a daily basis. All perfectly legal and profitable for them.

So if there were no users then the profit would remain? Are you just kidding? Or are you THAT clueless. Of all the immigration hysteria, the drug issue is the dumbest to get excited about.

Fozzy the solution is not to go after the PUSHERS but the USERS. Make it so it is not fun to use drugs. Make them work in a Drug Rehab as part of their sentance for first time offenders seeing what drugs do to you when you are trying to come off of them. Also make them wear signs while cleaning the highways and streets up stating I am a drug user would work. For the pushers SIMPLE EXECUTE them for any and all amounts found on them. If we are in a war on drugs let the Navy Seals have at it then and get rid of the Cartel leaders whereever they are. Make it so they can not buy their judges off and be free in their country and live like kings. Look at Thailands drug laws even 2 grams of cocaine gets you the Death Penalty with no appeals allowed regardless of what nationally you are. They have no drug problem there.

I just love your debating skills Fozzy! So intellectual! But I have seen the same type of insults and barbs from other NAU and NWO useful idiots.

Tell us who is your candidate for 08? I am curious who the chosen globalist is for the Globalist R, we already know who Globalist D is going to be!

I really do wish you would get some help for your emotional problems.

Oh Fozzy will never go for that! According to Fozzy it is all the Americans fault. So we should allow these truck drivers into our country who are delivering drugs and give them an e-z pass. Heck Fozzy is an equal opportunist for druggies and felons. We do not have enough problems of our own we should take Mexicos also.

After all we are the ones who made Mexico what it is by surpressing those poor people, not their corrupt government

I highly doubt a "terrorist" could get a FAST card.

A FAST card does NOT exempt you from inspections. 99.5% of loads are not FAST approved. Basically it's only huge companies such as ford that have fast loads. Also, you can have a FAST card, but say your company isn't fast approved. Then you cannot use the FAST lane.

To use the fast lane, all 3 must be approved:

    - driver
    - carrier
    - consignee(ford, toyota, gm, etc..)

Your right. A terrorist probably wouldn't get, or need a FAST card. However, as with those bales of MJ, the weapons a terrorist uses, could be smuggled across with a load of flat screen tv's, that are carried on a truck with a FAST card.

Probably 90% of Americans, and most Canadians too, have forgotten that al-Qaeda tried, unsuccessfully, to smuggle explosives into America in 1999, using a car crossing on the Victoria CA to Port Angeles WA ferry run. Only one observant Border Patrol agent separated LAX from damage by those explosives.

What kind of weapon are we talking about here?

Nuclear? not a chance any type of nuclear weapon can be smuggled at your ports. It would have to be smuggled across the desert and here's why:

Last year a canada post truck was turned around. It set off those yellow scanners before the booth(EVERY truck goes through those) indicating some type of nuclear material. The truck went back to Canada, and was inspected by some high end company that can find really small nuclear material.

Turned out it was one letter. They traced it to the stamp.

They contacted the guy that sent the letter, turns out he was going for chemo.

Perhaps not all border crossings..especially the Mexico/US crossings, have radiation detection systems?

However....Semtex & it's detonaters and rocket propelled grenades are more along the lines of what I was thinking.

If or when the zombies attack the United States with nuclear material, I am certain it will come via shipborn container, and will be detonated while the container is still sitting on the ship, as it sit's at the dock.

    Just my opinion.
