Adapt and overcome.
I wish that a channel like DISCOVERY, TLC, or ANY of them for that matter would come out with a reality truckin show. I know it would get a TON of viewers..... because a lot of people fear semis... 8) Plus I feel it would help the industry because viewers would see what a trucker REALLY goes through.... and hopefully develop some respect...![]()
Here is an idea for a new Survivor type show.Originally Posted by unkut2003

Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.

Nobody ever mentions "White Line Fever"
But a show about trucking? Puhllleeeeez
The job is too boring to make it into a tv show.
"Lets follow our plucky driver as he makes a run from Jacksonville...to Laredo"
(Play some dramatic music)
Oh no, Ralph the driver is stuck at the loading dock
(Cut to Ralph napping)
(Play some happy music)
Ralph the driver is done for the day, and he heads for the buffet at the Flying J, he puts on his bib, the waitresses put on their riot gear
Tune in next week when Ralph says....
"Wanna see what a gallon pee bomb will do to a traffic sign at 60mph?
Git er done!"
Everything I need to know about driving a truck I learned from watching "DUEL"
Good Idea....but I propose this. Take those 15 people and switch places. In other words we do the driving and you come work in an office. We in the office tend to think your job is easy. Those on the road seem to think our job is easy. Im sure we would both find them hard and a lot different. A funny story about recruiting. My father, who is a Harvard MBA, retired from being an Executive VP at Merrill Lynch for the last 20 years, was tired of not working. I told him to come over here and recruit for awhile. He lasted one month. Quit and said it was the hardest job he has ever done in his life. But you are right, I think it would be a great show. Here is an idea for a new Survivor type show.
