Not TRUE!! MOST of the illicit drugs in this country are consumed by whilte collar types, most of them with college degrees!

Fozzy may not consider "College" educated people to be "Low Forehead" types. I cannot tell you the numbers of times I watched as Boeing Exec's, wearing their company ID badges, bought dope, and hooker's, on the lot of one of the company stations I delivered to, which was right down the street from Boeing Corporate HQ. Of course...they are exempt from criticism, aren't they.
The pill popping, over fed, over media stimulated, over sexed citizens of the country demand all these thing be delivered to them... and a demand creates a market.
And Corporate America is not embarrassed to help in providing either.

Actually, most of them don't "demand" anything! They USE because it is "available."

The US created the dope smugglers..
Not TRUE!! Drug smuggling goes back WAY before the discovery of America!

What's next? A "spoof" about the 9/11 victims?
Actually...What makes you think I would denegrate the memory of those whom died on September 11, 2001 Fozzy? The greatest injustice to 9/11 so far has been from the government. This bunch hasn't even seen fit to make certain that the Men and Women on Flight 93 have been properly Memorialized, with Federal Money. What ever a memorial at that crash site would cost, is nothing compared to the damage repair cost's that those brave soles prevented.

Not RELEVANT or logical in the context! Comparing the "victims" of 9/11 to the Agents, doesn't FIT! It would be more proper to compare them to the "poor victim" drug smuggler who was "attacked" by the Agents.... but you didn't DO that! Apples and Oranges!

And most of the stories are about AMERICANS smuggling drugs and illegals across the border.
Not TRUE!! They're called "Coyotes" and they are Mexican! This is so blatantly ignorant, it barely deserves comment!

Apples and Oranges, the two topics are not the same..

Not TRUE!! He was comparing the abandonment of trucks to the problem of "illegals" entering the country by whatever means to find their NEW LIFE here! You really need to work on your Comprehension!

See...you got the point GH! But...a good corporate manager, would never admit that those Mexican drivers would abandon their equipment, once they were in the country.

And it is the right of people not breaking the law to work here when invited. And of course they have been invited.
True and NOT true!! Yes, the Mexican drivers under the pilot program have been "invited" by BUSH.... but NOT by the rest of us! But, that is not the same as the illegal immigrants who've crossed the border to work in the fields, burden our healthcare system and our schools, fill our prisons due to their crimes! One can't even begin to believe that we have given a blank check and a blanket invitation to every Illegal immigrant that invades our southern border!

Dang, Fozzy!! It seems you've been posting a bunch of Bull***** here!!

    True!!

Fozzy, you are truly one of the most difficult people to figure out I have ever met in a forum. Sometimes you play the part of a wild eyed liberal when you stand up for gays, illegal immigrants, devil worshipers and witches, yet your stance on the war on terror is most decidedly conservative. You trash christians on every occasion you can yet you sound like you would fight to the death for somebody's right to be buried at Arlington with a wiccan symbol on their headstone. I don't know whose side you're on anymore. I'd like to think that you are a man who loves his country (maybe not the govt) yet you champion the cause of people who I believe will be the end of us all if we don't watch it. I guess I just don't understand you at all.
I'm willing to die to protect my Right to Bear Arms.

Are you willing to die to take them away from me?

So my son should be fragged for being on a detail escorting prisoners (who raped a 14 year old and killed her whole family) from his own unit to their trial?
No, Fozzy.... Of COURSE I never said he SHOULD be! I said it has happened more than ONCE in THIS war, and previous ones, to troops of all types and grades who were believed (by the other members of a unit) to have "aided and abetted" the destruction of "one of their own!" THAT is a fact!

This unit is ashamed of these people and I assure you that my son was selected for his standing in the unit.
Well.... that could BE. But, it has not ALWAYS been the case even in THIS war! There are STILL units, or certain "squads" in a unit, who are of a different mindset.... more along that of the warmongering Bush types who started this war, and think it is a JUST cause! World opinion be DAMNED!!

I'm sure you are very PROUD that your son, JUST out of boot camp, and wet behind the ears, has such "standing" within the unit!

He is not an Airborne Ranger and I never said he was, He is in the 101st...
Oops, pardon me! I never quite knew WHAT the 101st called their troops. Is it Paratroopers? They're ALL "airborne" to me! Never saw one of them "detailed" to move a prisoner though. Still sounds like an M.P. function to me!

You do not care about the testimony of the case being discussed and you support some unarmed and unidentified person was assaulted (clubbed in the face) shot in the back..
Oh... I DOUBT he was "unidentified!" I believe we had a pretty good FILE on him! Unarmed?? Not unless he was a FOOL!! Clubbed in the FACE?? I thought it was the head? And EVERY account of the testimony I've heard identified the wound as being in the buttocks, or HIP area! NO ONE, that I know of, is saying it was in the BACK!! But, when you come right DOWN to it..... NO! I don't CARE!!! He was an ILLEGAL, involved in some kind of ILLEGAL action on my southern border. I'd have shot him right between the EYES..... and hung him on a cross for ALL who aspired to be LIKE him to SEE!!

You are not even knowledgeable enough to realize that the bill of rights is not about the citizens, it is about the governments treatment of people.
NOW, you're starting to get under my skin! First of all, there is little or NO difference between a citizen's rights and the way a government treats a citizen! Where the heck did YOU go to school?

    Bill of Rights: (excerpts only)

#1: "or the right of the people.."

#2: "the right of the people.."

#3: "without the consent of the OWNER..."

#4: "The right of the people to be secure...."

#5: "No PERSON shall be held to answer...."

    #6: "the accused..."

#7: "the right of trial by jury (of the people's PEERS)"

#8: "excessive bail shall not be required (sic) of the people"

#9: "others retained BY THE PEOPLE."

#10: "are reserved to the states... OR THE PEOPLE."

Their immigration status does not mean that they have no rights.
    Yes!..... It DOES!!!

Article III (Judicial Branch) Section 2.

The judicial power shall extend to all cases in LAW and equity arising under this Constitution.....to all cases .... to controversies to which the United States shall be a party....and between a state, or the citizens thereof, and FOREIGN states, CITIZENS, or subjects.
THIS is why the two agents were TRIED under OUR laws. But, I defy you to find one part of the Constitution that even addresses the rights of citizens of another country.... let alone gives them equal protection under OUR laws!

Go back to SCHOOL Fozzy!! Or stay off my playground!

I think if this is what the country's standards have fallen too.. let the Fundi Muslims have the damn place. We are no different in their treatment of people that they are.
Ha Ha!!! you STILL don't GET IT!! They don't WANT this place!!! They want US OUT of THEIR place!!!

    Discussion over...

As long as the personal attacks ( and I did see a few that seem to have stopped for now ) stay at bay, and it is debating, then I have NO problem with the thread. I would weigh in with my own opinion but I don't want to get my pants legs wet from the yellow streams. :P

Yeah, I sensed a bit of personal goin' on there, and felt I needed to jump in and have my say before it got shutdown! Seems most of these type threads end up that way! It's a shame, too.... cuz this IS a very important "development" to our industry.

But, If ya wanna join in without gettin yellow pants.... well.... you're just gonna HAVE to .... um, er.... "touch it!" You know! Like I always say....

Nope! I have to hold it with both hands. :P I will wade in here just a little. To Fozzy: I admire your son for what he is doing and what he is going thru. I also hope the best for him in what he may go thru. To be charged with the power to take anothers life is a great burden to bare. It also means that your decission to pull the trigger at the exact right time can mean you spending your life in prison or your family spending their life without you ( ever ). I will NOT judge those border guards. I wasn't there!

I almost killed a man once. It was a robbery with a ( later to find out ) fake gun. He jumped from his car and ran into the woods. When I tackled him he had his hands UNDER him. I kept yelling for him to put his hands out to his side. When he didn't comply I cracked his skull with the butt of my Glock. I was on 2 weeks paid leave for excessive force. . If that had been a real gun and he had wanted to kill me he could have. Two weeks gives you a lot of time to think about what happened. I turned in my 30 day notice. Had it been a real gun I might not have went home that night. Had I shot him, I mght not have went home for 20 years. Either way my family pays the price. I pray your son NEVER has to make that choice.

Good series of posts. I gave up on Fozzy- seems he just likes to call names and insult one's intelligence if they don't agree with him. You're not going to get anywhere with that type of person.

Heck, I'm just trying to hang out here and learn about trucking.

Hey, thanks, Rick! But, be careful of "choosing sides." Fozzy is not so bad, really. Everyone here has their "style." His is more condescending. Mine is more confrontational. He likes "one line Zingers," I like full blown essays!

Truth be known, I believe Ridge was speaking as much to ME as anyone else! [Heard ya, Ridge!]

I DID get a bit "personal" about his son, and any man who HAS a son (which I don't) would get defensive. For THAT.... Fozzy, I apologize! I would NEVER wish ill on ANY American soldier, and especially not the son of a fellow poster here (and a Vet!)

I get carried away at times. I just like a good argument. I thought about being a lawyer for awhile, but everyone KNOWS that a judge would NEVER let me get away with some of the smart remarks I make here!

Like the REV says, it's JUST the internet! But, there ARE rules of decency... and I have never been real good at obeying RULES, either!

I don't know ALL the facts about anything! But, I know enough facts, or can find them, to have an opinion.... and at least it will be an "informed" opinion! Or, I won't say anything at all!

When I was younger, and much smaller, I used my smarts to talk my way OUT of a fight. Nowadays, I use them to talk my way INTO one!

I get bloody at times, but I have learned not to fear the taste of my own blood! Like I've always said: Trucking (and trucking message boards) is NOT for Wusses!!!!
