    Default some brilliant engineering here

the engineers made what could have been a one man job by running a pipe to the ground into a 3 man job by putting the hook- up 10 feet in the air, it takes one guy to ride up on a pallet to hook up the hose, another guy to run the forklift and another guy to open the hatch and the trailer valve, of course when they unhook, it takes all 3 of then to clean up the mess. it's one of the dumbest things I have ever seen, I asked the boss why they didnt run a pipe to the ground and he said " I dont know, thats just the way they did it" well, at least the load pays good and I dont have to help.

I don't have any pictures of this, but they built a brand new Heilig Myers store in Everett, PA, which was an account of ours at my old job. It was set up so there was absolutely no way to hit the dock but to blindside a hard 90 between two rows of parked cars. I had enough trouble with this in my single-axle cabover with 45' trailer (and I bought a Ford Taurus there) but the company trucks used to be long hood Petes with 53' trailers. Getting into that place every day must have been purest hell for them, and it must have been a stop they dreaded even more than I did.

I'll do anything to avoid a blindside, but there was nothing to do here to avoid it. No room to turn around in the lot, or on the street, and if you did manage to turn around, you'd have to blindside in off the street anyway.

In a brand new from scratch facility built for trucks they know are going to have a hell of a time, I just can't figure that place out. I was glad to see them go out of business.

That would cost 2 more elbows and another 8-10 feet of pipe. My God think of the cost overrun.
Don't trust anybody. Especially that guy in the mirror.
