Default Anyone watch the Deadliest Catch on Discovery?

I'm hooked on watching that show ever since last summer when my truck was broken down in Springfield,MO. I was sitting in the big comfy chairs at Springfield Freightliner watching this show ALL day... I'm watching the new season three as I type this and I got to thinking that they should make a show about US! Truck drivers who have to deal with all the BS out on the road from Customers, 4 wheelers, etc. Even just one episode would be great... Right guys?

    Maybe a "Dirtiest Jobs" episode?

Yeah, I've watch both shows. I think the host is great. He's hilarious in Dirtiest Jobs.

As far as Deadly Catch, it's a good show. Makes me want to go watch The Guardian and The Perfect Storm again.

My wife and I got hooked on it after seeing the Season 1 marathon 2 years ago. Got to love how much those guys put into it to bring you King Crab at your local Red Lobster. At least they get paid fairly posh for 2 weeks of he!!. The bigger ships see as much as $45,000 per crew member while the smaller one's see $25,000 per. Live in Alaska and your living like a king at that. Do Cod season, King Crab and Opie Seasons and do good during them, as a deckhand you could see an easy $65,000 a year for about 2 months of work.

Come on out to podunk VA then TF. The farmers like to spread Turkey manure during the summer. Some downright ripe smelling stuff. Others use the good ol' human waste and it don't smell much better. After a few days you get used to smelling either or.

I'll pass. I get enough of the overpowering stench here in Iowa when the farmers up here are spraying their fields with hog farm manure lagoon juice.

    *gag*

How about for a dirty jobs episode they follow all us truckers on I-5 for a trip from sac to LA and back during tomato harvesting season. Those tomato trucks drip all over the road and it turns the pavement dark. So when it eventually starts raining the trucks are BLACK. It cover's everything! it sucks big time

Ya know. Speaking of manure...Manure Spreader was the only implement that John Deere did not stand behind.

If you are not sure you should do it, then don't!
