    can you itemize and still take the standard per diem rate for meals?

    You can't take the per diem if you don't itemize. I don't believe there is a line for it on the 1040 EZ.

    Yep, in order to claim the meal allowance you must itemize. You can claim either the standard allowance or actual expenses.
    Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.
