    Default BUFFET REVIEWS:

It is hoped that this thread will discuss the quality/or lack of quality of truckstop buffets.

    BORDENTOWN PETRO:

    3/7/07
    Lunchtime
This is exit 7 on the NJ turnpike or exit 56 on Rt. 295 in new jersey.

Ok, i just want to say that the buffet was rather poor/lackluster with limited selections. Service was mediocre to poor. Cleanliness average. The mashed potatoes, however, were quite good.

    $9.08 after taxes.

Other than that, you'd probably want to pass this one up unless you're really hungry and/or cannot move due being out of hours. I haven't tried their regular menu, so maybe you'd have better luck with that?

How about you? Do you have any experiences you would like to share?

    Default BUFFET REVIEW

I think my favorite one has to be "Brown Eyed Girl" that or "Marguaritaville".

Dutch Pantry in Chouteau Oklahoma. It is just west of the only stoplight there on 69 highway. There is room for trucks ( not more that 8 or 10) in back and on side. it is run by the Amish with real food.

That is the one fishinwiz, no doubt. I mistakenly got the "sugar free" cobbler once. It was unbelieveable. I make that mistake everytime now.

definitely recommend the buffet at the Island Of Capri in Kansas City, Mo. It's on I35 north of I70 (think exit 4?) can't miss it though. Plenty of truck parking, easy to get in and out. They have a great buffet and it's cheap.

Chouteau is about 10 miles south of Pryor on 69, it is just a small blip on the road. there use to be 2 small truck stops on east side toward the south end, now there is just a big Love's a little futher south. The stoplight hasnt been there all that long, 5 or so years. It is also were highway 412 (use to be 33) crosses 69 highway.

There are two truck stops in WI that have EXCELLENT buffets. Both are up in the central part of the state. The first is just south of Merrill, WI on U S 51, the second is just east of Wittenburg, WI where U S 45 goes south, called WILDERNESS CROSSING. Both are places I love to eat at every chance I get. And, lately, that has not been nearly often enough.

I never eat at a buffet. It has a tendency of making your ass
    a couple inches wider.
When I get old, I move north and drive slow in the fast lane.
