Not necessarily. Load up on the salad bar first then dig into a little bit of the lighter items on the buffet. Especially the veggies. Grab some grilled chicken or a few hunks of fish. That's if you're in a hurry and just want something to eat without waiting for a waitress to take your order and a cook to prepare it. Normally, I like a chicken-fried steak and some mashed taters along with a big salad. Love the salad. I could eat salad for every meal.

Best buffets? I dunno. Any one that isn't just fried chicken and mashed taters?

A valid point made here, but so many of the drivers that I used to see in the Buffets should have been required to have an "Oversize Load" sign taped across their butts just to walk across the T/S parking lot!!

True. It's a bit funny seeing them "waddling" across the lot and clambering into the trucks.

Sorry, but I find the idea of picking through a salad bowl that everyone else may have picked through (without washing their hands) very unappealing.

They invented these things called "tongs", you can actually put food into a bowl without ever coming in contact with the food. If the idea of eating food off a buffet is unappealing just imagine what goes on behind the kitchen doors that you can't see. Ever see the movie "waiting"? Good movie.

You think the tongs are any more sanitary?

Probably more sanitary than sealed fresh Spinach and Petter Pan Peanut Butter.

Two more things I won't eat.

    Yeah. Don't eat at buffets.

Agreed! Just the thought of some gross trucker wiping his ass and heading right to the buffet line (skipping the soap and water at the sink of course!) has permenantly turned me off buffets. I've seen it happen first hand! I eat out of my truck most times anyways.
