Default Parking the truck at home

From some threads I read so far, I thought this was going to be extremely hard to find a place to do so.

I was suprised to find out that some storage companies will allow you to park a truck, well at least the tractor, in their facility.

I have 4 choices so far. Going to put from the best to worse though.

    1) I would say appromemately 30 minute drive. Security fence and access 24/7 with a key card. $75 a month

    2) I would say appromemately 15 minute drive. Security fence and 24/7 access with a key card. $53 a month. Draw backs are no belly box, since all access is over rail road tracks. Has a right turn on an angle, not sure how sharp.

    3) An old friend where we use to go to chruch before we moved. My mom still goes to that church. The friend has a garage and use to have a garbage hauling co and parked his trucks there. It would be free, but not secure. It would be about an hour away.

    4) Behind walmart - overnight only - no security.

I have been stressed, so I might call some other storage areas tomorrow in the phone book. The second sotrage co I looked at was a referral, but I had to look in the phone book for the number. Looking at the two line ad, who would have thought they have storage for tractor traliers!

The first one would be the best with no restrictions, but is more expensive though. My husband said the trailers would have no belly box.

What type of traliers usually have a belly box though?

Myself personally I would go with the first option, since there will be security and all that good stuff. Now to answer the question about the beely box. It is only on household goods movers and maybe a few other trailers, but more on the household side.
Be safe and keep the shiny side up.

Talk to your company. They may be willing to reimburse you for the secure parking. If not then you can always claim it on your taxes at the end of the year.
Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.

Uturn, thanks for letting me know about the taxes. That will also depend on if we take the standard deduction or not. I believe we would have to have 7k or 8k in deductions to make it worth not taking the standard deductions. I still think I would be hard pressed to meet that even if we added meal deductions and the tithe and offerings.
