Default Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction on Speed Channel

Anyone watch the Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction on the Speed Channel tonight? A 1959 Cadillac Seville Eldorado with 2,240 actual miles went for $150,000. Several 60s and 70s muscle cars with frame off restorations went for anywhere from $85,000 to over $150,000, many if not all for the investment value. Some truly beautiful cars were sold! 8)

I'm kinda enamored by the Pontiac Goats (GTOs) myself, and the Chevelle 396s! 8)

Watching it this afternoon; a pair of '63 Corvette split window coupes went for $525,000! My question is: would anybody paying this much for cars drive them or just let them sit and look at them? If I was gonna pay this much for a car I'd wanna drive 'em! 8)

Wonder if they could make a reproduction of my old '77 Pontiac Grand Prix SJ, silver with red interior, 4-barrel 455 engine. Best car I ever owned! Man that car would SCREAM. 8) 8)

They also set a record for the most money spent on a car. Someone paid $5.5 million for a 1967 Shelby Cobra. That's right folks, that's $5.5 MILLION!! Carrol Shelby said in an interview that little sweetie would go from 0-60 in about three-and-a-half seconds! 8) 8)
