Great site...if you click on a photo...you get a video clip.
I was 12 years old when the Beatles first came to the USA...and I remember sitting with my family watching their first performance on the ED SULLIVAN SHOW....on our Phillip black and white TV.
I was an immediate fan....my Dad was horrified by this "Jungle Music."![]()
Those Liverpudlian mop heads were quite good....
But for real music and talent you just can,t beat Rusty Zinn
Excellent!!
Man, does that bring back the memories!!!!
I was in the 1st Grade when they made their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show!!! I was living in Bossier City, La. at that time. Quite curiously, we had an Armed Forces Radio DJ from Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City by the name of George Carlin!!!
Had ALL The Beatles Bubble Gum Cards!!!
Rusty Zinn wasn't even a gleam in his daddy's eye yet. :P He was born in 1970. By the time he crapped his first diaper...we were rockin' to Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Tiny Tim...
No one impacted the music world like the Beatles did. You would have had to BE THERE to understand. The screaming fans...and the excitement was beyond anything you can imagine. You hear their songs today...and you just can not SEE it....but if you were apart of it...back in the day...you'll never forget it.

Was leg pulling in my reply mate(Just a tad) Of course The Beatles were simply awesome. So were "Slade" but I doubt if anyone ever heard of them over there. They,re second only to The Beatles in terms of top twenty hits by a band in the U.KOriginally Posted by roadhog
Hi, Wot!!
Do you remember a musician over there named Cassell Webb??
During the 60's she was a baack-up singer for an American group called "The Mammas And The Papas" (California Dreamin', "Dream A Little Dream", et.al.)
Geez, how I miss The 60's!!
Can,t say that I do mate.....much head scratching and frowning here :? :? ..Originally Posted by Useless

I like "Yesterday".
Even though the lyrics are kinda depressing, the song itself is great. It is one of the first songs I ever heard of the Beatles.
Music Is Forever!
"Help!!", "Hey Jude", and "Let It Be", were always my favorite Beatles songs, but I liked their music so much that it's really difficult to decide which ones were "the best"; probably has more to do with what mood I'm in at any given moment.Originally Posted by HorsePower

unfortunately, I never saw them on TV. I was born in the early seventies
by the time I could change channels, they were no more![]()
