Oh I dunno, current company is sendin me a brand new truck so I guess I am waffling.
We'll see what happens, but I want to start running to Inuvik or at least go up on the ice for the fuel run.

I remember you were running a Freightliner.
What's the new Truck going to be?

...also..."up on the ice for the fuel run."
Sounds dangerous. What/where is that run?

Yep...that's what went through my mind, when she said "up on the ice for the fuel run."
I remember a show on TV called "Worlds Most Dangerous Jobs" and they had a story about this...but I was busy and didn't get to see it.

Where is this run? Is there some web site to read more about this? I couldn't find anything.

Hauling fuel on the Ice Roads out of Hay River in the Northwest Territories. Short window of work till the ice isn't good enough. So you run like hell, 22 hours a day usually, make tons of money and take a couple weeks off when you get home.
It's a boring job, you are very limited on your speed. Watch movies while you drive. Worst that'll happen is you'll run into a snow bank.
Guys even tie up the steering wheel and make food/housekeeping in the truck, etc.
Course theres always that chance of falling though the ice.
    :P
