Not real good at this myself but, try to "edit" your post, and remove that second to last, redundant [img] tag. Keep the last one with the backslash. [I think.]

I know what you're trying to do Shykatt-Under your Photos at Photo bucket you'll see 3 options-Left click on the one that says IMG which will Shadow the Link-Then Right click on it to Copy it-Come here and just Right click and do the Paste Option-Pain in the Butt I know but that's the way I do it.

I have been on HWY 1,on the west coast in California. I took a load of steel to Big Sur,CA. That was a scary trip. I think I was as far west as you can go in America. :P That was the first, and only time that I have been to the west coast. As far as I could see was water. Right before I got to the Big Sur Mountains, there were some campgrounds, and rv parks. I pulled off to the side, and I stood on my trailer, and I was like, . I was in awe.

WOW!!! That would be a GREAT place to build a ROAD someday!!

I can see why they drive on the left side of the road. I sure wouldn't want to be "guessing" where the edge was! (Not that I'd REALLY want to be SEEING it, either!)

Looks to me like BOTH SIDES of the road are the "left side".... Or the "right side"...

Hmmm.... good point, WindWalker. I forgot that where they pass "to the left" the steeringwheel is on the RIGHT! So... they're still guessing about where the edge is. I'd rather have the driver on the LEFT when passing to the left with those drop-offs!

Well, you gotta admit... It does sort of look like it's all made up of nothing but "DEAD MAN'S CURVES".

Seems to be just a bit of discrepancy about the origin of the name, as well as the frequency of fatal accidents, but here is some interesting info:

    http://www.trekker.co.il/english/bolivia-la-paz.htm

Apparently, these truckers have to deal with a constant onslaught of Mountain Bikers, too! Oh well.... all in a day's work!

    Wow!

    Wow!!!!

    Wow!!!!!!!!

    Thanks - A Lot!!!!!

I used to love Highway 1 in California when I was young.

There used to be a great restaurant at Big Sur called Nepenthe. I don't know if it's still there.

The first time I was on that road I was hitch hiking and the driver kept driving on the wrong side of the road when he went around the curves, and I thought... This is soooo beautiful, if I die here I will die in the most beautiful place I have ever seen.

In those days I didn't say much. I didn't say anything. I just enjoyed it.

I would so love to be able to do it all again!

Thanks again for these pictures... and the comments.
