Aviation mechanic on an "in-flight" service call.....
I have had that happen once. Flight from Dayton, OH to Dulles, VA was delayed 3 hours after a weird thumping noise was heard by the crew coming from one of the engine's as they were coming in to land at Dayton. They unloaded and flew up to Fort Wayne, IN to see the mechanics. They could find nothing so they had one mechanic fly on the plane back to Dayton and then on to Dulles to see if it would happen again. Never did but very nerve racking for us passengers. My first thought was, hope you got a long enough rope to get out to those engine's and make sure you hold on tight to your wrench's.

    Tester for a Gas Chamber.

Roadhog, we HAD a guy who tried his hand at welding a gas tank locally. He didn't stay in business too long, didn't even last a day.
