    Default Missing Person

I don't know if any of you can help me, but I will give it a try. My friend drives an 18-wheeler and I haven't heard from him in 3 weeks. He usually calls me a few times a week. His name is Craig Harris and he drives for Schnieder. If anyone has any information at all about him, please let me know. All help will be greatly appreciated. My e-mail is crobi31725@aol.com.

    Thanks,

    Chris

Sorry to hear that. If you have his cell phone number,if he has one, call him up.(Im assuming that you have already taken that route). Hopefully, you will get in touch with him soon. You might search online for missing persons online to get some contact numbers, and go from there.

I'm afraid that the sad truth is that when we talk on the CB, there are "CB HANDLES", or no names at all. We could have talked to him yesterday, and not have known it. Even worse, with all the XM RADIOs out there, most drivers don't even have a CB on anymore unless they get into a traffic back-up. I know it was a long-shot for you, and I wish I could give you much better news, but I can't. I can see and talk to a hundred drivers a day, and at the end of the day, I can't tell you even one of their names. Sorry.

    Chris,

Good luck. I've been driving for 28 months and guys that don't want to keep in touch have a great job. They can tell you whatever they want and most of the time, if their lips are moving they are lying. No one can verify 1/2 of what they are saying. Consequently, the big bull****ers just keep on b.s.ing.

Unfortunately, I've found that out the VERY HARD way. I'm a very attractive blond and get hit on all day long. They will tell you they aren't married and been married for 20 years with 10 kids. They will tell you they don't have cell phones because the wife or girlfriend gets the bill. Or in some cases I've had the wife or girlfriend answer the phone. Why in the hell, an idiot would give the right number and not tell the woman he gave the number to that he's hitched is beyond my comprehension. They just will say anything for the "almighty nookie".

I'm sorry you can't locate your friend. But chances are he didn't even work for Schneider or perhaps did years ago and worked for someone else when he met you.

Hang tough. But remember if they're driving their lying. I've met very few guys in 28 months that told the truth. It's too bad. We see more of the country in one day than some people in a little po dunk town will see their entire lives. Why guys have to lie is beyond my comprehension.

Good luck and find someone who actually can tell the truth. It's rare in trucking but I imagine it's possible-some how some way. Just haven't met many. I've met probably over 500 drivers in 28 months. I worked out of a terminal hauling trucks and knew about 150 guys just in my terminal alone. I bet I've only met 15% that told the truth. That's not a good record. That puts it at about 75 drivers out of 500. Wow-not a good record at all....

Sorry you have had a bad experience, some people just attract trash. But your statement if they're driving their lying is completely wrong.

I meet him when he was driving to Florida and came over to met me. we went out to the track and that was it. the Last cell phone was around sept 1st and I think he said he was in PA at the time. and he said something is up call you in a abit after that nothing at all. so I think somewhere he is missing and have not yet heard from him. was going to call the cops in texas to see if they could go to his house or the mail men would know something is wrong if he didn't pick up his mail in a mouth. he was a truck driver about a year or alittle more then that.

    hope he okay somewhere.

No one goes "missing" without a paper trail. If you know his hometown, or where his parents live, check with the local newspaper. They can do a search for any articles where he was listed as missing or otherwise.

I don't know how special your relationship was, but it is entirely possible that he just decided to cut ties with you.

Has he EVER been "online" in any forum where he used a screen name that you would know? If so.... GOOGLE it for any recent activity on ANY forum that he might use that name on.

Do you know what cellphone service he used? If so, call them from a landline and enter HIS number and offer to make a payment. Ask for a service rep, and pretend you are him and ask what your amount due is. You may pull it off and find out something about him.

    Good luck.

    Hey Christopher Robidoux,
This is off subject of you're post, however I noticed your last name is Robidoux and was wondering if you by chance are of any relation to Joesph Robidoux founder of St Joe, MO, Just curious as I am his forth great grandson from his son Felix Robidoux. So maybe in you're search for a lost friend you may have found an unknown distant relative....
