............... Celebrating Our 75th Year in Trucking - 1933-2008 ..............

Interstate Distributor Co. is an irregular route truckload carrier serving customers throughout the United States, provinces of Canada, and Mexico.

Our roots can be traced back to 1933 when Bob McLean purchased his first truck to transport cedar shakes from the mills in Washington State to the California markets.  In 1975 Bob retired and past the reins on to his four sons.   Under the leadership of the McLean family and Interstate's management team, our fleet has grown to more than 2,600 tractors including Independent Contractors.

2008 marks a significant milestone - our 75th anniversary.  As we look back in our history, we can celebrate 75 years of growth and accomplishments, and recognize those things that make us what we are today.  We have endured the difficult times in trucking but also have enjoyed all the good times.    We have an incredible committed team of employees and contract carriers who have helped keep alive the founding principles of Bob McLean.  Our success can be attributed to those people and those principles.

In 2007, we were listed as the 43rd largest trucking company in the United States and the 12th largest in the truckload segment.  We think this is quite an accomplishment for a privately owned and operated trucking company.

Driving Opportunties

Though we are primarily a dry van truckload carrier we do have opportunities in our refrigerated division.  Solo drivers operate in the eleven western states and teams are 48 states.    We have limited hiring areas for this fleet and require one year experience hauling temperature controlled products.

Solo Drivers starting pay    $.36 - $.40
Team Drivers starting pay    $.46 - $.51 (s/p)
